Lykan's Revenge : Chapter Three

Chapter Three

The late autumn breeze lifted the trio's hairs and had Lykan in a cool and calm relaxing state. That is, until AnnaBeth opened her large mouth and began blabbering.

"So why are we here? And where the hell are we going again?!" She muttered, giving Lykan a bored and annoyingly bossy look.

Ashton kicked a stone off the pavement. "We're going to the mountains. To be specific, Archeleos Mountain."

"What the f- HELL no am I going to some freak-ass mountain that ranges at about the height of 7 kilometers!"

"Do you even know your math right?" Lykan muttered, annoyed.

AnnaBeth rolled her eyes and shrugged. "Whatever! I'm just not going!"

"Good. So we'll have one less dead body dragging us behind." Lykan muttered happily, standing up from her seat on the stairs.

AnnaBeth scowled at her but made no move to counter-attack. Ashton hesitated though. "A-Anna, c'mon. Please? For me? Please? Please? Pretty please?" She had on her adorable puppy-dog eyes, and it made AnnaBeth's features soften immediately.

"B-But.. A mountain? Really? What the hell are you guys even planning on doing there?" AnnaBeth mumbled, all hints of annoyance leaving her voice and instead worry replaced it.

Lykan sat back down and frowned. "We're going to save my daughter, Sapphire."

"Holy shit, you have a daughter?!"

Lykan blinked. "I'm surprised Ash didn't tell you."

Ashton gave a growl but Lykan ignored it. "Yes, I have a daughter."

AnnaBeth laughed meanly and rolled her eyes. "Figures. You're too damn close with your boyfriend Daryl to begin with anyways."

Lykan ignored her and turned to look at the ground. "A few weeks ago, she was kidnapped by-"

"-a monster." Ashton breathed out, afraid of the beast that bared its fangs when the two had walked in on it stealing Sapphire away.

AnnaBeth stared at the two in disbelieve. "Don't tell me you two still believe in monsters?! They're No. Such. Thing."

Lykan stood up and glared at her. "Oh really?" She walked up to AnnaBeth and wrapped her fingers around AnnaBeth's purple necklace. It looked exactly like the pendant that Sapphire gave her in the dream. "Then what happens if I do this?" With one quick pull, the necklace left AnnaBeth's neck, causing her to gasp in sheer surprise.

"N-NO! Give it back. I'll -" She paused when a sudden overwhelming feeling came upon her. She felt as if she was going to barf. Her insides were jumping up and down like little peasants on a harvesting day. "No." She whispered, the magical purple aura swirling around her like a cloud.

"W-Wha... AnnaBeth?" Ashton slowly neared the other girl, hesitant in every step. But she did nothing to stop what was happening. Instead, she turned to Lykan. "W-What?!"

"She's a dragon." Lykan said plainly, staring at the transformation of the girl. She was transfixed at the purple light flowing around AnnaBeth.

Ashton turned to AnnaBeth and her jaw nearly dropped. "A dragon?! What the f-"

"Damnit, Lykan!" AnnaBeth growled, her teeth sharpening with every second. Her eyes turned to a deep, light, shallow red and her skin got a little darker. Beyond the edges of her arm, was little spikes that looked sharp enough to cut through bark. Her body shivered as if something inside of her was tearing her apart, and a long red tail emerged from behind her.

Ashton stared until she couldn't take it anymore. She turned away and stormed off. Lykan let her be, considering she had the right to be pissed.

AnnaBeth snarled and snatched the necklace away from Lykan. She quickly put it back on and raced after Ash, muttering 'Wait!' and 'hold on!'

Lykan stared from a distance as AnnaBeth tried to explain why she was a dragon and how it happened. Turns out, she was a dragon since birth but she was sent to this school for a normal life and a new start. The necklace, was apparently, a type of magical option that helps you stop the transformation if you're a 'creature'. She wore it everyday, except at night, where she flies to the top of trees to munch on forest animals. It was the only way she could survive.

At first, Ashton looked disgusted- but after registering AnnaBeth's look of sincere and pain, she forgave her for not telling her and began getting used to the... eating-raw-animals thing.

Lykan looked down at her own pendant and squinted her eyes. "Sapphire... Does this mean... That I'm a creature too?" She shivered at the thought. "Hell no." She whispered, turning away from the two girls to climb back up the stairs.

Just as she was about to enter school again, Ashton called out to her.

"Ika! Where you headed off to?"

Lykan turned around and sighed. "It's time to go."

The two girls exchanged looks of nervousness but nodded even so. The trio made their way through the school and out the front entrance, and together they walked to the foot of the mountain in silence.

For a minute, there was actually peace between the three. But then, "Are we seriously gonna walk all the way to this shit hole dump of a mountain?" AnnaBeth piped up, looking annoyed again.

Lykan sighed and rolled her eyes. "None of us have our driving license yet, so unless you wanna crash and die. Our best bet is to walk."

Lykan's Revenge : Chapter Two

Chapter Two

"I heard you're going on vacation!"

Lykan turned around and stared into her nemesis's amazing orange eyes. To be honest, Lykan was a little mesmerized by them. She gulped down and looked away, not accepting the fact that her nemesis looked pretty for once.

"It's none of your business, AnnaBeth."

The girl with shoulder-length red hair smirked. "Sure, it is. Considering Ashton's going."

Lykan stopped in her tracks and scowled. Of course. Since Ashton's going, AnnaBeth has to tag alone. Especially since they both have a secret thing for each other. Yes, they're gay. Shocking, right? Not.

She whirled around, annoyance clear in her brown eyes. "Look, AnnaBeth. Just because Ash is going, doesn't mean you have to tag along."

"Ah, you see. It does." She counter-attacked, giving her another smirk. "Because if anything happened to her," This time, her look turned dark. Though she still had her smirk on, her eyes darkened and a scary aura surrounded them. "I'd kill you."

Lykan grumbled under her breath and looked away, ignoring eye contact. "Fine."

AnnaBeth instantly brightened up. "Awesome. So I'll meet ch'all later at the courtyard."

"How did you know we were going to meet at the c-"

"Loser, Ashton tells me everything." AnnaBeth looked at Lykan and gave her a 'duh' look. The other girl sighed and shook her head.

"Of course." And just like that, she walked off, ignoring her nemesis's huge smirk. Damn you. Wipe that damn smirk off your damn face. She thought as she walked off. She couldn't help but hate the cheerleader.

I mean, she was always so bossy, so annoyingly perky, so mean and damn straight a bitch. What does Ash see in her? God.

"Hi Lykan." A mysterious yet soothingly smooth voice met with Lykan's sensitive ears. She turned around but didn't wipe the frown off her face as she stared at the one guy that she found date-able besides Daryl in the school. His name is Vael Stronghold, he's tall and dashing just like a prince should be. He has dark black hair that covered one side of his eye, and the color of his eyes would have any girl in a daze.

A gorgeous, dark, mesmerizing blue. He had on a neutral smile, and like usual he addressed Lykan formally as a gentleman usually does. When gossip came out that he liked Lykan, Daryl got extremely defensive. And though he didn't like Vael, Lykan did- as a friend though, of course.

"Hello, Vael."

He smiled. "What are you up to?"

"Just going to class."

Vael nodded and looked away, the smile dropping. "I heard you're going away for a few days."

Lykan hesitated and looked away too, ignoring eye contact. How does rumor spread so fast around here? Damnit. The school hallways were pretty deserted, besides the few upperclassmen getting ready to skip class again. So she found no harm in telling him.

"I'm... I'm going to the mountains."

Vael's eyebrows shot upward. "Mountains, you say?"

"Y-Yeah. I'm... uh... trying to get Sapphire back." Lykan mumbled, blushing at the thought of telling this male the one secret that only she, Ash and Daryl knew.

Vael's brows furrowed and he put his hands in his black jeans pockets. "Sapphire?"

"My daughter."

There was a pause. And Vael gave out a long and loud sigh. "Oh."

That's all he said before walking away. Lykan stared after him, guilt storming in her heart. She liked Vael, she really did. And she thought that they could be really good friends. Oh well... He deserved to know the truth.

After a minute, Vael disappeared into the classroom and Lykan realized that she has to get going too. She dashed to her class, ignoring the few curious glances the upperclassmen gave her, and finally sat down at her respective seat beside Ashton.

"Hey, Ika." Ashton greeted as she gave her best friend a smile. The nickname 'Ika' was given to Lykan by Ash, because the three letters 'Yka' sounded very much like 'Ika'. So just to shorten her name, Ash started calling her that ever since they were 12.

Lykan gave her a bored look and glared. "You told AnnaBeth."

She hesitated, as if she was caught with her hand in the cookie jar. She looked away guiltily, ignoring Lykan's gaze. "I'm sorry, Ika! But you know how weak I get when she... talks to me." She mumbled, blushing.

"You guys made out?"

"W-Wha?! NO!" Came Ash's quick response. At that exact moment, the teacher entered the class, ushering the class to quiet down.

Ashton looked away and wouldn't turn to Lykan for the whole lesson, but Ashton's actions with AnnaBeth was the farthest thing from Lykan's mind. Her mind wandered to Sapphire, and to Daryl, and to Vael.

Today's gonna be a long day.

When class ended, a stampede of snobbishly self-centered students came out all at once, and the hallways were once again crowded. Students pushed passed each other, threatening to sue each other's families, and then there were the jocks, who just pushed past students as if they were nothing. One of those jocks was a guy named Eddie. An annoyingly broad and muscular dude that every girl craved to be with. He was the most popular guy in school, besides Vael.

Lykan pushed through the waves of people and slammed against the locker when Eddie had so 'accidentally' pushed her.

"Woops, my bad." He snickered sarcastically, laughing along with his 'buddies'.

"HEY!" His gang turned around to watch Daryl make his way through the crowd, glaring daggers at them. He reached Lykan in seconds and helped her up, giving her a worried glance before turning back to the bunch of asses.

"You shitholes better apologize! And do it nicely! Not that sarcastic crap!" His voice was loud and demanding, but Eddie was still snickering when he finished.

Eddie turned to his friend by his left and gave him a fake-innocent look. "Oh my god, Tim. Should I apologize or not? I mean, bumping into her wasn't MY fault in the first place!" He said in an annoyingly fake voice.

His friends laughed again and it only fueled Daryl's anger. He pushed Eddie by the shoulders and got all up in his face. "Shut up, you fuck! You have no right to speak like that."

Eddie growled and pushed Daryl back, finally getting serious. His push was much more stronger, hence causing Daryl to crash into the lockers with Lykan. "I have the right to speak anyway I like, turd!"

His friends stared, interested, at the scene before them and decided to back out, knowing Eddie could take Daryl down in a heartbeat. But the guy didn't back down, Daryl got back up and walked up to Eddie, showing no signs of fear.

"You know what, you always think you're top dog in this academy. Well, you're wrong!"

By now, a huge crowd of students had stopped to watch the fight already. Even the popular chicks. But they were all woo-ing for Eddie anywho, so it doesn't really matter. Speaking of Eddie, he had a smirk on his face and a very itching fist by his side.

"You know what, shit hole. I've been dealing with your complaints all through this year. And I gotta admit," He laughed out loud, in spite. "It was fucking annoying!"

Daryl growled and finally something inside of him snapped, he tackled Eddie down and punched his face two- no, four- no, six times! And Eddie couldn't even get up, because Daryl had a strong hold on him. But before he could launch the seven hit, Vael emerged from the crowds, looking as handsome as ever.

"Alright, stop this nonsense." He commanded, glaring at the two immature students. He pulled Daryl up by the arm and helped Eddie get up with his other hand. "You two should control yourselves! You are not monsters created for battle. But fine young gentlemen that should know better than to fight in school grounds, or anywhere as a matter of fact!"

His voice was amazing. Strong, commanding yet smooth all at the same time. It made most of the girls squeal and shriek. But most of them just stared at him in awe. Lykan was one of them. She stared at Vael in amazement and just leaned against the locker for support at what her boyfriend had just did.

Daryl glared at Eddie while the jock wiped the blood away from his nose and mouth, giving Daryl the same glare but with less hatred and with more fear. Vael sighed and shook his head. "Today's not my good day. So if you two start another fight," He pushed them both away to opposite directions. "You're both getting expelled."

Oh yeah, Vael is the president of the student council, meaning he could run the school with a flick of his hand. How silly of me to forget mentioning that.

Daryl turned to Vael and scowled, while Eddie nodded solemnly and walked away, glaring at anybody who stared at him weirdly. Daryl sighed and turned back to Lykan, a sad look in his eyes.

Vael turned to look at Lykan too, but his face showed no emotion- as usual. But this time, Lykan saw a little pain behind that strong exterior.

"Well then, show's over. Everybody back to their respective dorms or houses." Vael demanded. And as soon as they had piled up to watch the fight, they piled out to forget the fight. It was pretty immature, but then again Daryl - who need I mention was probably one of the students that the high class thought was invisible - beat Eddie up with just a few punches. That was something no one can forget.

Vael turned to Daryl and Lykan, and with one small smile excused himself.

Daryl turned to Lykan and sighed. "I'm sorry, Lykan. I just-"

"Shh." Lykan placed a finger on his lip and smiled. "It's okay." She wrapped her arms around his waist and he returned the pleasant hug, breathing in her scent. But all the while, for some reason, she was picturing Vael.

There ya go, chapter two. :)

Lykan's Revenge : Chapter One

Prologue

The storm was brewing, a thunder storm was beginning to arrive, and the horses had yet to be set free from their stalls. The man with the western cowboy attire walked up to a horse and stroked its neck.

"I'm sorry for this, Dandelion." He whispered, shutting his eyes and giving the horse a quick peck on the forehead. His fangs appeared, and as quick as lightning, he bit into horse's neck, tasting the sweet, hot, delicious blood flowing into his mouth.

The horse in reply, yelped and tried to back away, snorting and huffing but the man's grip was too strong. Finally, he pulled away, wiping his mouth across his sleeve. His eyes were glowing yellow and red, a combination of deadly and sinful, yet uniquely different. He took a step back and eyed the other horses who stared at him in fear. For a while, he began to regret; but then his feelings shut down, as well as his humanity.

With one last snarl at the horses, he left the stable, using his vampire speed to take him elsewhere and not caring that the hurricane that came a minute after he left swept away the whole stable, stealing away the innocent lives of the four-legged creatures inside.

That's what a vampire is.

That's what they'll do to survive.

Chapter One

You know, some would say a girl that came from a broken family was mental. Some would call her crazy, or insane or even pathetic. But it didn't faze Lykan. Not one bit. She knew her family was torn apart and separated, it has always been like that for her.

Her father left the family to go live in New Zealand for some contractor's thing. Her mother had sold all their belongings, besides their clothes, to a homeless shelter and had begun going crazy; so she was sent to a mental hospital. Her brothers, six of them, were as annoying as hell, but she had to take care of them. Unfortunately, they all were transferred to England to live with their parents. So that left Lykan alone in her humble home.

Okay, fine. She wasn't alone. She lives with her best friend, Ashton. Ashton has long auburn hair with beautiful emerald green eyes, she lives with her parents and has been childhood friends with Lykan since they were both 6. Ashton is a rather quick-tempered girl, but even so she's very kind and nature-loving; some might even say she's a peace maker.

They both attend the snobbish and prestigious school that is commonly known as Archenhanl Academy, the home to all rich snobbish kids. Ashton and Lykan may not be rich, hell they couldn't even afford two 15 bucks necklaces, but they got a scholarship. So hell yeah.

Lykan's boyfriend Daryl had accidentally got her pregnant when they were both just 13. This may seem rather disturbing and wrong, but they were both drunk at a frat guy party when he led her to this bedroom and they did it. Without a condom. So out came a baby.

A beautiful, healthy female; which they named Sapphire. She has beautiful sandy-blonde hair, which she followed after her mother, and gorgeous blue eyes, which were taken from her father. She was pale, to say the least, and was always so lively and talented. She learned how to play the piano at the age of 3! And from the age of 4 onwards, she had always been athletic and loved outdoors, much like her father Daryl.

Though Lykan was so young, she loved Sapphire very much. That is, until she walked in on a man stealing the girl away one morning. It was the most horrifying thing Lykan could ever see, watching her baby get kidnapped like that was devastating.

For days, all Lykan did was cry. And Ashton didn't stop her, because whenever she tried to stop her and calm her down, Lykan would throw a fit. A really big fit. She'd start throwing chairs around and flinging tables off the ground, it was a huge riot and Ashton was afraid.

Daryl did nothing too. He just continued his school life with Ashton, trying to forget about Sapphire.

Finally, Lykan made a decision.

"I'm gonna find her and take her back."

Ashton stared at the crumbled paper intensively, when finally she broke down into hysterical laughter. "A-Are you serious, Lykan?!" She mumbled through gasps of laughter. "Oh god! I'm so glad you're alright again, but seriously, stop joking around!"

Lykan's brow furrowed and she turned her gaze to the map in front of them. The room was dim, almost as if darkness had soothed the place just for this specific atmosphere, and the only light was coming from the table lamp on the table. Lykan retraced the marks she had written on the map and turned to Ashton, breathing out a sigh.

"Ash, I'm serious. I'm going to the Mountain of Heavens to find Sapphire."

Ashton paused and looked at Lykan with a disbelieving face. "You have got to be kidding me."

Lykan frowned and shook her head. "This is my daughter, Ash-"

"-Yeah, you're daughter who got kidnapped by a physio monster!"

Lykan hesitated at the volume of Ashton's voice. It surprised her. Yes, she was used to Ashton's mood-swings, but the power and seriousness of her voice got her re-thinking this idea.

"Besides, how the hell do you even know Sapphire is on that mountain?! How the hell do you even know that the stupid lump of Earth exists?!" She was snapping here and there as if someone had suddenly stole her car. For some reason, she was pissed and annoyed.

Lykan looked away and turned her gaze to darkness. "I had a dream last night." Ashton frowned. "It was about Sapphire. She was calling to me..." With that, she gripped the pendant in her hands tightly, as if the pendant could be the answers to all her problems. "And... she told me to come find her. And fast. Then she told me about the creatures she's seen and the tough road she had to take to get to the mountain."

She was hesitating alot, as if the memory burned her somehow. Finally, she let the pendant fall, making sure she still had a grip on the string that bounded it. She necklace shimmered with the light, a purple glow casting over everything in the room. "She told me that I'll need this necklace through my journey. And that I should find her."

Ashton looked up at Lykan. "That was a dream-"

"When I woke up, I found this Ash. Explain that!" Lykan muttered quickly, shoving the pendant to her face.

Ashton hesitated and pushed the pendant away, looking at the ground for a few minutes. Lykan's heart beat quickly because she needed Ash for this journey. Without Ash, she... she'd never be able to make it to the top.

"Lykan," Ashton's eyes turned to match the other girl's gaze. "I swear to god this is your worst bullshit yet." Lykan hesitated when Ash sighed. "But then again, I can't let you go alone. So..."

With a small smile, Ashton looked up at Lykan and nodded. The other girl nearly squealed, and for her age that is very embarrassing. She flung her arms around her best friend and hugged her senseless. Thank god no one saw it.

Short chapter one, I know.

But I promise you, it gets better. :)

Lykan's Revenge : Summary

Lykan's Revenge is about a young girl, at the age of 18, trying to find her long lost daughter. Her boyfriend, Daryl, had made her pregnant at a very young age, thus causing her daughter Sapphire to be born. Her daughter is at her 5th of years, and Daryl is 19.

Through her journey, she is turned into the monster that had captured her daughter, a vampire. During transition, she finds out how hard it is to keep from wanting to rip everyone's throat apart. Not only that, but she soon finds out that Daryl is a werewolf, meaning her enemy, so she must fight her way through to the Mountains of Heavens; even if it means killing Daryl.

Along with three of her other friends, Ashton (Griffon) AnnaBeth (Dragon) and Vael (Vampire), she heads out to seek for her daughter.

But obstacles lie in her wake, including a very high-respected werewolf council that hates the vampires. They will do anything, I repeat anything, to get rid of her.

Will Lykan reach her daughter in time? Or will she be too late and watch as her daughter die mercilessly at the hands of a devil? Plus, the wake of the world, the era of all beasts, will it come to an end? Or will Lykan be able to stop the wolf-council from destroying all man-kind?

What pressure.

On the plus side, she gets to skip the Geometry test tomorrow...
